Photographs of Le Roy Dennis Paulson and perhaps other flight radio operators; China Clipper planes and other seaplanes associated with Paulson's career, with Pan American Airlines and with Wake Island; and views of the Canal Zone in Panama, with scenes of Panama City and the Panama Canal. Also includes a Pan American Airways certificate proclaiming Paulson a member of the Domain of Phoebus Apollo on the occasion of his crossing the International Date Line on a 1941 Philippine Clipper flight (AX folder 2).

Le Roy Dennis Paulson (aka "The Swede"): born Le Roy Dennis Samuelson on May 8, 1905, Willow River, Minnesota; changed last name in 1940; while with U.S. Navy, travelled through Panama Canal in 1924; worked as flight radio officer for Pan Am Airways from mid-1930s to World War II, and after the war; married to Esther Kaluhiokalani, then Carol Cooper Paulson; worked for some time on Wake Island; died in Ukiah, California on March 16, 1983.
